It is usually more than one thing.
Returning to sport takes more than the absence of pain. It takes capacity: strength, tolerance to load, and confidence in the movements your sport actually demands.
That is why we do not start with treatment. We start by understanding what your body is currently able to do, where it is compensating, and which of those things is worth addressing first.
This page is general education. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for an evaluation. The useful answer is the one specific to you.
- Strains and sprains
- Overuse injuries
- Return-to-sport uncertainty
- Recurring tightness
Recognise more than one? That is normal, and it is useful information. Bring it to a Discovery Call.
Four steps, in this order.
- 01
A conversation first
A free 20-minute Discovery Call to hear what is happening, what you have already tried, and what you are trying to get back to.
- 02
An evaluation, not a guess
We stage your return with clear criteria at each step, combining chiropractic management, rehab therapy, and strength work so that going back is a decision rather than a gamble.
- 03
A plan built for your situation
Care may combine chiropractic management, therapeutic exercise, rehab therapy, mobility work, and strength and conditioning, chosen for what the evaluation found.
- 04
Reviewed as you change
The plan is not fixed at visit one. What you are given changes as your range, strength, and tolerance change.
Evaluated first, then treated
- Neck Pain Rarely just "slept wrong."
- Upper Back Pain Rotation you have stopped asking for.
- Lower Back Pain Often the hips, asking for help.
- Back Pain Symptoms are the signal, not the story.
- Shoulder Pain The shoulder rarely acts alone.
- Elbow & Wrist Pain Usually a load problem, not a local one.
- Hip Pain Where rotation gets stuck.
- Knee Pain Usually a hip and ankle conversation.
- Ankle & Foot Pain The first joint to meet the ground.
- Mobility Limitations Range you have lost, quietly.
Dr. Andrew Spehar, DC Founder & Clinical Director
Care from someone who knows what it is like to want your body back.
Dr. Andrew Spehar came to this work from the other side of it, as an athlete dealing with an injury, trying to get back to the thing he cared about.
He spent eleven years treating patients before opening All Square. The practice exists because he wanted to build the kind of care environment he thought patients deserved: unhurried appointments, one provider, and plans built on what an evaluation actually shows rather than on a template.
His work has ranged from Broadway performers and touring musicians to athletes at every level, from Little League through Olympians and Paralympians.

Practical questions.
If your question is not here, ask it on a Discovery Call. It costs nothing and you will get a direct answer.
Book a Discovery CallA complimentary 20-minute conversation with Dr. Andrew. You describe what you are dealing with, what you have already tried, and what you want to get back to. He tells you honestly whether All Square is the right fit. There is no examination and no obligation.
Your new-patient visit is a full evaluation. We talk through your history, then assess how you move, where your range and strength sit, and what appears to be contributing to the problem. You leave understanding what we found and what the plan looks like.
It depends on what the evaluation shows. Treatment on day one is common but not automatic. The point of the first visit is to understand the problem before deciding what to do about it.
Appointments are one-on-one with Dr. Andrew and are not double-booked. Length depends on the type of visit and what your plan involves; ask on your Discovery Call and you will get a straight answer for your situation.
In New Jersey you can see a chiropractor directly, without a referral. If another provider is already involved in your care, we are glad to coordinate.
Coverage questions are answered directly rather than generically, because the answer depends on your plan and the type of care you need. Bring it up on your Discovery Call, or call the office at 908-998-9194 and we will walk you through how payment works before you commit to anything.
The Discovery Call is free, and so is the Discovery Visit. Beyond that, cost depends on which type of care fits your situation and how long the plan runs. You will be given specific numbers before care begins, never after.
Yes. Payment plans are available through Cherry for qualifying patients, which lets you spread the cost of a care plan over time. Approval and terms are determined by Cherry. You can explore the options on our payment plans page.
