CareReturn to activity

Injury rehab that ends where you started.

For active adults and athletes coming back from an injury who want to return to full activity rather than settle for a version of it.

01 The gap

Pain-free is not the same as ready.

Symptoms usually settle before capacity comes back. That gap is where a lot of injuries get re-injured: the pain has gone, the confidence has returned, and the tissue has not yet been asked to do anything close to what the sport demands.

Rehab here is staged deliberately, and each stage has something you have to be able to do before the next one starts. It takes slightly longer to say you are ready. It tends to be true when we do.

02 How the stages run

Four stages, each with a gate.

  1. 01

    Calm it down

Reduce what is irritating the area and restore the movement you can access without provoking it. Short phase. It is a starting point, not the plan.

  2. 02

    Rebuild capacity

Progressive loading that gives the tissue a reason to tolerate more. This is where most of the work happens, and where most rehab stops too early.

  3. 03

    Restore the pattern

Retraining the movement itself, at speed and under load, so the thing you were compensating for stops being a compensation.

  4. 04

    Test before you trust it

Clear criteria for the demands of your sport or activity. Returning is a decision made against evidence rather than against how long it has been.

06 Meet Dr. Andrew

Care from someone who knows what it is like to want your body back.

Dr. Andrew Spehar came to this work from the other side of it, as an athlete dealing with an injury, trying to get back to the thing he cared about.

He spent eleven years treating patients before opening All Square. The practice exists because he wanted to build the kind of care environment he thought patients deserved: unhurried appointments, one provider, and plans built on what an evaluation actually shows rather than on a template.

His work has ranged from Broadway performers and touring musicians to athletes at every level, from Little League through Olympians and Paralympians.

05 FAQ

Coming back from something?

If your question is not here, ask it on a Discovery Call. It costs nothing and you will get a direct answer.

Book a Discovery Call

A complimentary 20-minute conversation with Dr. Andrew. You describe what you are dealing with, what you have already tried, and what you want to get back to. He tells you honestly whether All Square is the right fit. There is no examination and no obligation.

Your new-patient visit is a full evaluation. We talk through your history, then assess how you move, where your range and strength sit, and what appears to be contributing to the problem. You leave understanding what we found and what the plan looks like.

It depends on what the evaluation shows. Treatment on day one is common but not automatic. The point of the first visit is to understand the problem before deciding what to do about it.

Appointments are one-on-one with Dr. Andrew and are not double-booked. Length depends on the type of visit and what your plan involves; ask on your Discovery Call and you will get a straight answer for your situation.

In New Jersey you can see a chiropractor directly, without a referral. If another provider is already involved in your care, we are glad to coordinate.

No. Most patients are active adults: people who work, train, play, and want to keep doing all of it. The approach is the same whether you compete or simply refuse to slow down.

No. A meaningful share of our work is with people who feel fine and want to stay that way, or who have noticed a restriction they would rather address now than during a season.

It means the plan is not limited to the adjustment. Depending on what you need, care can combine chiropractic management, therapeutic exercise, rehab therapy, mobility work, and strength and conditioning, so you are building capacity, not only managing symptoms.
